Guess Who I’ve Been Reading Lately

You might have already noticed from my previous posts that I’ve been reading books written by Filipino authors, and I must say that it’s those times when I feel most in touch with the culture I grew up in. Since I live in an archipelago, with bodies of water separating islands here and there, we tend to have minor differences — dialects, manners, delicacies, among other things. But in their (“our” I sincerely pray) books, you’ll find that Filipino women stand firmly on what they believe in and what they’re taught to become when it comes to love.

Well, how exactly that is, you will have to find out for yourselves.
